Walton Science Olympiad finished 1st at the Georgia Science Olympiad Regional Tournament this past weekend, delivering an outstanding performance across all four teams. Walton edged out one of its fiercest competitors, Chattahoochee High School, in a thrilling competition, with teams bringing home countless medals and showcasing their depth of talent and preparation.
This success would not have been possible without the dedication and leadership of our incredible coaches, Doug Wolfe, Wes Taylor, and Matt Curtis. All three coaches were at the event, guiding and supporting our students every step of the way. Their unwavering commitment, countless hours of preparation, and genuine passion for mentoring continue to inspire and push Walton SO to new heights. Their leadership is the heart of this team, and we are beyond grateful for everything they do.
With this incredible performance, Walton SO now sets its sights on the State Tournament later this month. Congratulations to all our competitors—your hard work and dedication are paying off, and we could not be more proud!

Special Thank You to Our Amazing Parent Volunteers |
This past weekend at the Georgia Science Olympiad Regional Tournament, we had the privilege of welcoming several first-time parent volunteers to the Walton Science Olympiad team. Your willingness to step up and support our students made a huge impact, and we are incredibly grateful for your time and dedication. Whether it was helping with logistics, chaperoning, or ensuring our students were where they needed to be, your support helped make the day a success! To the parents who continue to volunteer time and time again, we cannot thank you enough. Your commitment to this program, often giving up your weekend rest, family time, or other activities, does not go unnoticed. Science Olympiad would not be possible without the dedication of our parent community, and we appreciate all that you do to support our students and coaches. |
